How did we decide to write a Research Paper?

Hey Amigos, we are back with another interesting topic, another experience we want to share with you. It is very close to our hearts and we feel proud that we are sharing it with you. Hope you’ll like it.

It was a hot sunny day! We were home during the month of May and June, and both of us do not know how to spend our time during the isolated lockdown. So, one-day Suryansh (Co-founder, Curious Amigos) called me and said, dude, my cousin had written a research paper and it got published in an international journal. So, I think we should also think of something like this.

We both didn’t have any prior experience regarding the same, So we started searching for topics around ourselves. That time, all the news channels were arguing about China and it’s statesmanship. Being from business families, our tables issues were whether we should stop dealing with Chinese companies. What are the alternatives to boycott the Chinese industries? China is considered as the world’s factory, so will it be easy to replace it with any other country? Is it an opportunity for India?

Listening to all the table conversations, it came to us that why not write about China? How it is dominating the World’s Market and even global economies. This topic was both rare and interesting to write. Moreover, we thought of Writing it as an opportunity for India. In this way, we named our paper- INDIA- AN ADVISABLE DESTINATION TO INVEST POST COVID-19.

But now the real question came, what to write? What should be the format? Where to search for content? Who’ll guide? Can we write this on our own?

So, we asked Chetan Bhaiya (Suryansh’s Cousin), because he had prior experience in writing papers. He brought his another friend Devansh, who was good at researching. In this way, we became Two to Four.

After all the guiding process, we started researching it and reading papers similar to that kind. But another problem arrived, we were facing a communication gap!!

So, after a long-conversation, we decided to talk every day at 10:00 PM to discuss the daily progress, issues and content.

We started making headings and step-by-step content for the same. It took us 2.5 months and by the end of July, we had our first draft. We then showed it to some of our college professors and mentors, and after all recommendations, we made changes into it and Finally, we got our final draft ready after 20 days.

Was it easy to write a Research Paper?

Obviously, it was not so easy. But, it was not so hard as well. The only thing we noticed was it requires patience and concentration. It takes a long time for a research paper to get ready. Also, it takes all your efforts to search for content as it requires plagiarism less than 20%, which means no copying because these publications have very powerful duplicity detecting software. So, it was a great concern for us to keep this in mind.

According to our observation, Research Papers are very interesting to write because it makes you explore things around you and also it tests your writing skills.

Now, We had our paper with us , but Where’s the Publisher?

We don’t know any publisher at that time, obviously. So, we start contacting some of them through Google. But we were unaware of the cost of Publication. So, after 3-4 calls, we got shocked listening to the cost, it was 20,000 and more!! We can’t afford that much at that time. So, we started looking for cheap options. The last price we got was 7,000 from a very nominal publishing house. We even got ready to bear it, but suddenly a miracle took place.

Alas! we got a reference of Dr. S.B. Goyal Director City University, Malaysia and he read our paper and liked it too much!! With his networks, he got us funding and organized a conference for us. Good things happen to those who hustle.

After all efforts, we represented it in the conference and after a week, we got a call that our paper is going to be indexed in SCOPUS as a paid one.

In this way, we reached our destination and we are happy to share it with you!!
