Woh thandi tez hawa, aur woh manzar haseen tha,
Woh bheeni si Khushbu mitti ki, aur mera Chanchal mann tha,
Woh ghane kaale badal, aur aandhi ka aagman tha,
Woh paani mein kagaz ki nauka chalane ka mera mann tha,
Tabhi woh maa ki pukaar mujhe andar bulati thi,
Par meri pehli kagaz ki nauka mujhe bahr kheeche jaati thi,
Baarish ki woh bunde …
Baarish ki woh bunde, Woh kya dilkash ahesaas tha,
Meri nauka tairegi ye mere mann me vishwaas tha,
Woh tapp tapp jo bunde baarish ki barsi, Woh sar sar hawa jab Bijli ban kadki ,Woh naao haath se choot gayi ,
Roya khoob aasu tapp tapp behte the ek to Bijli ka darr upar se meri nauka chuti, mere bol ye khte the,
Uss pal mai roya to tha, par khud par yakeen bhada tha,
Jo maine dekha chup ho paani mein, mera khilauna samne khada tha,
Woh taair raha tha paani mein, vo chale jaa raha door tha,
Woh khilkhilati meri hasi thi fir ghar mein khushiyo ka mahol tha,
Baarish ki woh bunde, aur kya unka dilkash ahesaas tha,
Meri bachpan ki yaadon se juda ye pyara kissa mujhe yaad tha.
