How does it work?
The Chinese company ZHENHUA Data Information Technology targets individuals and organizations in politics, government, business, technology, media, and civil society. The company has big connections with the Chinese military and intelligence network. The company claims that it works closely with the Chinese intelligence agency, military, and security agencies. ZHENHUA closely monitors every move (digital footprints) of its target across social networking platforms. Through this, it maintains a massive database in which the content is kept as news source, a forum, documents, patents, recruitment posts.
What information does it collect?
THE Information collected by ZHENHUA includes DOB, addresses, marital status, along with photographs, political associations, relatives and social media IDs. ZHENHUA offers “THREAT INTELLIGENCE SERVICES .” This company also creates a database of connections with each other in which records of relationships with people, institutions and information are kept. The motive of preparing such a huge database is to analyse the public’s goals.
ZHENHUA collects personal information on the target of which Social Experts say that there is a dangerous motive behind the gathering of such data by a foreign company.
Conclusion
Experts say that banning Chinese apps will not affect the intentions of China’s ZHENHUA. China’s strategy is to defeat the enemy through HYBRID AFFRAY. To get out of this situation we have to abort the Chinese app as much we can and refrain from revealing our personal information on any social website.
